Marvel star suffered 30 broken bones after being hit by snowplow

Jeremy Renner faced a long period of recovery after suffering a serious accident with a snowplow in January 2023. The actor, however, did not face this entire period alone.

According to sources from the Page Six website, Renner, 54, had a “secret” romance with influencer Cassandra “CC” Mason, 26. The relationship reportedly lasted eight months, between comings and goings, in 2024.

According to the North American outlet’s informants, the connection between them came from the fact that they both suffered from serious health problems and from the “mutual understanding” they expressed for each other.

Renner’s terrible accident happened when he tried to prevent his nephew from being hit by a six-ton snowplow, which ended up running over him. He suffered 30 broken bones, spent two weeks in the hospital and was unable to walk for three months. Mason, meanwhile, had been undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer at a young age.

The actor and the influencer met mainly in Los Angeles and London, during the filming of ‘Knives Out 3’, a film starring Renner.

The Marvel star’s poor reputation when it comes to romantic relationships scared Mason, but she discovered a very “lovable” partner when she gave him a chance.

Actress and model Sonni Pacheco, Renner’s ex-wife, claimed that her former partner pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her. The divorce also involved a legal battle over custody of Ava, 11, the famous couple’s daughter.

Jeremy and Mason’s relationship ended much more peacefully, and they remain friends. The reason, however, was not revealed.
