The 2022 MTV VMAs have ended. But how did they go? Who won, and how did the evening unfold?

Ceremony of 2022 MTV VMAs was set up at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

It was presented by an outstanding trio of LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj, and Jack Harlow sanctioning the victory of the Maneskin in the Best Alternative Video category with the song “I wanna be your slave.”

Among the artists who carried home at least one award, there is naturally Taylor Swift, who won an 2022 MTV VMA for Best Long-Lasting Video and for Best Director with “All Too Well: The Short Film, “the video clip that was made for the “extended” version of the song starring Sadie Sink (the Max of Stranger Things ) and Dylan O’Brien.

Swift’s “mini film” also took home the highly coveted Video of the Year award, and during his award acceptance speech, Tayor revealed that she had a new album ready to come this fall.

As for the other winners of this year’s VMAs, BTS as Group of the Year won an 2022 MTV VMAs, while Bad Bunny was awarded Artist of the Year.

Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow were awarded Best Collaboration with “Industry Baby,” Nicki Minaj featured Lil Baby beat the contest as Best Hip Hop with “Do We Have an issue?” Jack Harlow’s “First Class” won award for Summer Song, and “Out of Time” is The Weeknd took home an award for Best R&B.

Harry Styles, in turn, won the Best Pop category with the song As it was (which also won the award for Best Cinematography), while Billie Eilish won the Song of the Year award with “Happier Than Ever.”

Where Cameron, in turn, took home an award for Best Emerging Artist (the category where Maneskin was also nominated ), Lisa with “Lisa” won the one for Best K-Pop and the Red Hot Chili Peppers the one for Best Rock with “Black Summer.”

Anitta is Best Latin with “Envolver,” Lizzo and her “About Damn Time” triumphed in the Video for Good category, Blackpink in the one for Best Performance in the Metaverse, Doja Cat for Best Choreography with “Woman,” and, last but not least, Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow with “Industry Baby” were awarded a statuette for Best Visual Effects.
