This was announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The path to the academy leads through an Oscar nomination or through other special services to the film.
There are around a dozen categories, including direction, camera, editing, acting and music.
The association, which has over 9,000 members , has been trying to achieve more diversity for some time.
