Emily Carey in The House of the Drago faced not only the romantic relationship between Alicent and Targaryen but also the bond between the young woman and his father Ser Otto Hightower.
Despite the initial scepticism that hovered around The House of the Dragon, the prequel series of Game of Thrones, the TV show broadcast on Sky is achieving incredible and unexpected success.
The merit is not only of a well-studied compelling plot but also of a crazy cast that is not making us regret the former actors seen in Game of Thrones passing from Harington Clarke, and from Jason to Turner.
Although only the first episodes of The House of the Dragon have been aired at the moment, the TV series has already been confirmed for the second season.
However, the show’s future is still to be written, especially regarding the actors participating—starting with Emily Carey.
Emily Carey and The House of Dragon 2
The young actress in the cast of The House of the Dragon, season 1 in the role of the young Alicent Hightower, has told The Hollywood Reporter that she is not sure of appearing again in the next season of the prequel TV series of the Throne of Swords.
“It has been talked about. We’ve had conversations about it, but, in all honesty, I know absolutely nothing of what’s going to happen; I have no idea,” Emily admitted.
“Sure, I’d like to come back. It depends on the response the show gets and where they plan to take it,” Emily Carey concluded that, in the past, has lent the face to Wonder Woman and Lara Croft in some flashbacks that showed these characters in adolescence.
At the same time, the Alicent in the adult version we see in House of Dragon was entrusted to Olivia Cooke.

One character played by Emily Carey in The House of the Dragon, difficult for her to manage, she faced not only the romantic relationship between Alicent and Viserys Targaryen(whose role was entrusted to 49-year-old actor daddy Considine) but also the bond between the young woman and his father Ser Otto Hightower (aka Rhys Ifans).
“As an actress, I have struggled with Alicent’s relationships with her father and Viserys Targaryen as I have never had a real-life equivalent,” Carey told The Hollywood Reporter.
“I don’t have a father, and I’ve never had a romantic interest, especially with a man older than me, so dealing with those relationships was very challenging,” admitted the 19-year-old, hoping to put her face to Alicent Hightower in the House of the Dragon.
