The tensions arising on the set of the film “Don’t Worry Darling” moved to social media between the leading actress Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde seem to have no signs of easing even after the film’s premiere in Venice Film Festival 2022.
The tensions that arose on the set of “Don’t worry darling” between the leading actress Florence Pugh and director Olivia Wilde seem to have no signs of easing even after the film’s premiere in Venice where, during the press conference, the former star of The OC . had exalted the 26-year-old praising her work in front of the cameras as well as her availability.
These words, however, seem not to have allayed the misunderstandings between the two stars who, on the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival (where they walked together with the rest of the cast of the film, consisting of Harry Styles, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, and Nick Kroll ), they have always kept a safe distance avoiding to cross each other’s gaze.
A bad blood between Florence and Wilde which seems to have also been confirmed by some recent Instagram posts by Pugh with which the actress wanted to thank Venice for the splendid welcome, “forgetting” to mention Olivia as well as her film.
In fact, in her Instagram messages, Florence Pugh thanked everyone, from the designer who created her dress for the red carpet to the hairdresser who helped her with her hair up to her grandmother (who wanted her side on the carpet red), but be careful not to mention the film “Don’t worry darling“, which has seldom been promoted since it came out.
Florence Pugh shared a post on Instagram
“I was lucky enough to wear some of Pierpaolo Piccioli‘s clothes and it always strikes me how powerful they make you feel. I felt strong. Proud. Sexy. Fascinating.” wrote Florence.
“It was truly the most special moment I’ve ever had on a red carpet.” wrote Florence, who recently returned single after breaking up with Zach Braff.
“Congratulations to everyone who was on that red carpet. We debuted in Venice! This is a huge and wonderful victory in itself. I had never been to the Venice Film Festival before and it was super! The crowd! The applause! The energy was incredible.” continued Florence Pugh, seen in films such as Black Widow and Little Women, where she starred alongside Timothée Chalamet.
Within her posts, the 26-year-old also wanted to praise her set-mate Chris Pine who, during the red carpet, pulled out a disposable camera to take some souvenir photos, some of which then ended up on her Instagram story of the actress.
“I can’t help but post how cute and hilarious Chris Pine, photographer # 1, is. 1 sitting on the knees with white pants. This is dedication. I love you Chrissy”, Florence then concluded that, in her messages, she did not thank either Olivia Wilde or Harry Styles, the director’s current partner.
That Pugh’s was just an oversight? Unlikely, much more plausible than with her post, the actress wanted to underline her stance towards the couple, who met on the set of “Don’t worry darling.”
