World Cup leader Quartararo falls twice – Espargaró with mega comeback

World Championship leader Fabio Quartararo experienced a race to forget.

The Frenchman loses control of the machine in the early laps trying to overtake Aleix Espargaró .

The world champion slides into the Spaniard and ends up lying in the gravel – but can continue.

Espargaró, on the other hand, manages to hold his own on the bike but loses a lot of places.

In the end, thanks to a great race to catch up, he classified himself in 4th place.

The 32-year-old Spaniard provided the highlight of the race in the penultimate corner.

Positioned in sixth place, he grabs Jack Miller and Brad Binder at the same time seconds before crossing the finish line.

Quartararo, on the other hand, does not finish the race.

13 laps before the end he crashes a second time – but this time violently.

In the overall standings, the 23-year-old is still comfortably in the lead with 172 points.
