It’s confirmed that the fourth season of Sex Education is on its way and that the other cast members will return to their roles along with many new entries.
It is useless to pretend that we were not worried about the fate of the new season of Sex Education: the latest news spread was not particularly reassuring.
Three actresses left the cast within a few months, and some wondered if a general stampede was in progress.
Now, however, more reassuring news for fans arrives.
One of all: the filming of season 4 of Sex Education has begun.
Without making too many spoilers, the end of the third season hinted that many dynamics and events would change.
However, some of the characters we were fond of were not expected to leave the project.
First, Simone Ashley, who played Olivia Hanan, best friend of Ruby (Mimi Keene) in the series, left to devote herself solely to Bridgerton.
Then she was the turn of Patricia Allison, aka Ola and finally of Tanya Reynolds, who played Ola’s girlfriend, Lily.
Meanwhile, news of the leading actors’ growing careers rolled in: Asa Butterfield (Otis) recently appeared in the Netflix thriller Choose Or Died, Emma Mackey (Maeve) will star in Greta Gerwig‘s Barbie ., as well as Ncuti Gatwa (Eric) who will also take over from Jodie Whittaker as the next Doctor Who.
All this has raised several questions about the future of Moordale‘s former high school students.

Fourth season of Sex Education on its way
Now, however, we can confirm that the fourth season of Sex Education is on its way (although there is no date yet) and that, except for Ashley, Hanan and Reynolds, the other cast members will return to their roles along with many new entries.
According to Netflix’s official description, after Moordale Secondary School closes, Otis, Eric and the other students will face a move to Cavendish Sixth Form College.
The new school will cause a real culture shock: if Moordale’s students thought they were progressive, this new college is on another level.
Meanwhile, Maeve will live her dream in the United States under the guidance of famous author Thomas Molloy.
In the role of the professor/mentor, there will be Dan Levy, who posted a shot on Twitter with Emma Mackey to announce the news.
What makes people talk, however, is another preview photo released by Netflix, which portrays Otis and Ruby on a sofa.
Many fans support the couple hoping for a flashback, and, with Maeve overseas in the company of Molloy, anything can happen.
