Rihanna was born on February 20, 1988 in Saint Michael, Barbados.
The hitmaker, who celebrated her 37th birthday on February 20, opened up in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, admitting that “getting older sucks, but it’s also a blessing.”
The mother of two — who is dating A$AP Rocky — says she now feels wiser, less materialistic and more aware of living in the moment. “My legacy is now,” she said. “It’s all the things I have more control over. There are things I don’t have control over. My legacy is what I do with my time in this moment. How am I present with the people around me? How am I grateful? How am I making this a happy moment? How am I creating a memory?”

“That’s something no one can take away from me. Someone could rob me of everything I have right now, [but] they will never take away a memory, an experience, a feeling, a smell that reminded me of that moment. There are things that mean more when you grow up,” he reflected.
In the same interview, the star also spoke about raising her two young children, RZA, 2, and Riot, 1, from her relationship with A$AP Rocky.
“RZA is just empathetic,” she said. “He’s so magical. He loves music. He loves melody. He loves books. He loves water. Bath time, swimming, the pool, the beach, anything.”
As for her youngest son, Rihanna shared: “Riot… he’s just hilarious. When he wakes up, he starts screaming, yelling. Not in a crying way. He just wants to sing. And I’m like, ‘Okay, here we go!'”
“He’s my alarm in the morning! He doesn’t take no for an answer from anyone. I don’t know where he came from, man,” he concludes.
Rihanna stood by her boyfriend earlier this week as he was found not guilty of two counts of assault with a deadly weapon following a nearly four-week trial in Los Angeles.
A$AP Rocky would face up to 24 years in prison if convicted. He has denied all of prosecutors’ allegations.
